Which is the better movie channel hbo, cinemax, showtime, or starz?

I have direct tv and i wanted to get a movie channel i don't know which one to get because each have different things to offer so i need some help which is the better movie channel.

I got HBO with our apartment complex with a deal to get it free. Over all, i been bored with HBO programming. I rather have Cinemax from what i have seen playing on their channels with the guild.

I had cable since cable was invented when MTV ruled back in the day. Need more than one channel. Example if you see movie on Showtime you wont see it on Cinemax or visa versa. Just like if you have STARZ you wont see it on Cinemax or showtime

Hbo and Cinemax are the same. But Cinemax shows more RATED R movies

Not exactly. There was a new neighborhood built around 1970, in the city where I grew up. They had no over head power lines or telephone lines. Everything was underground. Well, they introduced a cable television system called: "Channel 100" in which a box was connected to the TV set, and about 7 pm each evening, a movie was presented, uncut, no commercials or advertisements. That was it. Then there was "PONG" added the second year, to the same company as an extra added feature for kids. An old video game that one could play endlessly on their TV, like Ping-Pong, but slower. Other than that, we basically had NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS. And that was our television programming when I grew up.

HBO, has more original series, documentaries, etc... plus the other channels get movies VERY late... months after HBO has aired it.



The saving grace for the other channels is that they show more classics and obscure movies (Robocop, Sixteen Candles, Bloodsport, etc.).
