I do not want any animated movies like ones about a disney princess. My boyfriend and I enjoy watching shows and movies about fairy/folk tales. We don't know of many, and when I google them, I mostly get ones about disney princesses. We love the tv shows Supernatural and Grimm because it is about those kinds of things, but we want to watch movies. Some movies we have watched and enjoyed are The Brothers Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands, Snow White and the Huntsman, The Wolfman, and Red Riding Hood. I can't remember any others, but if you have any suggestions could you please give me some? Please don't mention a bunch of Tim Burton movies, I have seen a ton like Alice in Wonderland (which is alright) and I like some of them. Thank you.

J. M. Barrie wrote Peter Pan. Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland. Hans Christian Andersen wrote many super memories, a number of which Walt Disney have been given his grubby claws in and ruined, by utilising changing the result into some gay lavender show bullshit. The Little Mermaid is a working example. Walt Disney additionally fully ruined Pinnochio, by utilising Carlo Collodi. interior the Disney version, the terrible little cricket vermin that became such anathema to Pinnochio is a few friendly little chap who's in actuality an atheist, in case you may have faith that. yet what are you able to declare approximately some clown who despatched donations to Hitler interior the Thirties different than that he ought to have been an atheist. additionally, i'm constructive there are a number of memories that have been amassed (no longer written by utilising) Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, interior the previous due 18th century that Disney took especial exhilaration in twisting the which potential into some marketable piece of tripe. i think we are in a position to be grateful he did no longer get his greasy meathooks on the recent testomony. If he did, Jesus might have in all hazard escaped the go and crucified Pontius Pilate and the entire Roman Senate relatively, and then he might have long gone off to run a vineyard or some thing and stay fortunately ever after. wish this helps.

I like the movie "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?" It is based on Homer's book "The Iliad". It has the sirens and the cyclops in it.

It is not about folk tales, but Chuck Mangione's hit album "Feels So Good" is still great to listen to. Chuck's tunes are always cool, crisp, and refreshing.

Woops, sorry, I said "The Iliad". I meant to say "The Odyssey". Both are by Homer.

Sweeney todd (dark fairy tale)

Mister Mongorium's Wonder emporium
