The Dark Knight vs. Camp Rock?

Me and my freind were at school thinking wich would make more money and get better reviews if The Dark Knight and Camp Rock were released in theaters at the same time?We both said The Dark Knight, Camp Rock is stupid and dosent deserve to be called a movie.But we wanted to see what other people would think. The Dark Knight FTW!!

Of course The Dark Knight! That's like comparing the Beatles to...Miley Cyrus. It wins all the way. I've only seen part of Camp Rock, and I don't think any of them could have out-beat Heath Ledger's or Christian Bales's performance. Have Camp Rock actors actually done method acting? The people picked in Camp Rock are average or below average acting but The Dark Knight blew us all the way.

Definitely The Dark Knight, although if I were to call it, Camp Rock would still do pretty well. The latter's built-in audience (female tweens) is quite the opposite of The Dark Knight's (male, teen-adult), so it would provide useful counter-programming. Heck, just look at the success of last week's Mamma Mia!



Just a note: After noticing the thumbs-down my answer received, let me just point out that I'm not a fan of either Camp Rock or Mamma Mia.

theyre in different categories

dark knight has way more effects and a more solid storyline

millions of teens and preteens would go see camp rock and adults always review movies(it wouldnt really be reviewed by the targeted audience)

camp rock would get all the teenies and their mothers, but dark knight is a movie with classic characters. seriously, almost EVERYBODY loves superheroes. with dark knight, youre going to get the old people who collected comics when they were kids, modern day collectors and comic fans, AND the teenage/young adult group who wants action, super powers, killing, or any combination thereof. that is a MUCH larger demographic than anything Disney could attract.



oh yeah, add in the fact that everybody loves heath ledger and that this was hist last role on the silver screen, and you'll get a whole bunch of women who think he's hot XD

I actually love both movies. But both would win because teens (like me) & children love CAMP ROCK mostly & dark knight is mostly for adults & some teens watched it (i did)
