He protected him in Sorcerer's Stone when the broom stick was jinxing and he protect harry in prisoner of azkaban from the werewolf.

Severus didn't hate Harry, he actually care for Harry he just did not want anyone to know. He always looked after Harry (from a far) as his promise to Lily since he let Lily down, but more than likely treated Harry meanly because he looked just like James..........just watch the movies or read the books they explain it all :)

Because snaps liked Harry's mom, and Voldermort killed his mom. It's all I'm the 7th book, and if u actually seem the 7th movie u would know. But the main thing is that he liked Harry's mom
